The balaphon is a traditional West African percussion instrument that resembles a xylophone. Created by Senegalese balaphone builders, each small balaphone includes six wooden notes and calabash gourd resonators. The entire piece is lashed with cotton cord.

This beautifully tuned African musical instrument is as inviting to the eye as to the hand. Mallets included.
