Hand Forged Black&Red Damascus Oil Quenched Full Tang Blade Dragon Koshirae KATANA Japanese Sword

This excellent japanese samurai KATANA has been hand made by hanbon forge. The full tang blade has been constructed of folded steel with 13 times folding to create the 8192 layers, which cast flexibility and hardness of the blade in a large degree. The whole blade was hardened by oil quenched, the blade has been special treated which create many red and black pattern on the blade, the pattern can prevent the blade from rusting. Normally, the color will not fade unless you re-polish the blade. It has no HI on each side, but a CHU-kissaki on the top of the blade. The dragon design tsuba(guard) is made of brass, and it begins with a one piece brass Habaki. Two copper Seppas(spacer) secure the tsuba of the sword. The Fuchi (sleeve) and Kashira (buttcap) are made of brass. The Tsuka core is hard wooden with black Ray Skin Same and purple synthetic fiber tsuka-ito. Two Bamboo Mekugi secure the tang of the sword into the Tsuka. The Saya(sheath) has been constructed from hard wood with black matt finished. The Sage-o is purple synthetic silk cord, wrapped over a bright copper Kurigata. This beautiful katana sword is not only a gift or display but also a good choice for Dojo students and practice.
