Chanukah celebrations are not complete without the traditional dreidel. This pewter dreidel is decorated with colorful stones and an elegant design of Jerusalem - where the Chanukah story took place hundreds of years ago. The Hebrew letters on the sides of the spinning are Nun, Gimmel, Hay and Pei - acronym for the phrase - Nes Gadol Hayah Poh - a great miracle happened here.

The dreidel is known for its mystical significance. Its origin is the spinning top that children held with them during the time of the Syrian persecution. They studied Torah in secret and whipped out the dreidels whenever soldiers approached them, pretending they were in the middle of an innocent game.
